This project is a proposal for an 80,000-seat stadium to be built on the site of the former Olympic Stadium in Tokyo. Inspired by the image of a water droplet resting on a leaf, the design explores a light and fluid form, envisioned with a carbon-fiber structural shell to achieve both elegance and efficiency. The stadium features a fully retractable roof that allows the venue to adapt to different events and climatic conditions.

An expansive concert scene with colorful lights illuminating a large crowd, all focused on a stage in the center of a stadium. The atmosphere is vibrant, featuring beams of light and a dome-shaped roof above.
An interior view of a large stadium featuring a track and field area. Spectators are seated in the stands, with colorful flags displayed overhead. Natural light is visible from an opening in the roof.

Selected among the top ten finalists from a shortlist of seventy international architectural teams, the proposal presents a contemporary vision for a major civic venue, combining structural innovation, environmental responsiveness and a strong architectural identity.
