Stade du Sénégal is a 50,000-seat stadium built for the 2026 Olympic Games. Inspired by the vernacular architecture of Dakar, the stadium is enclosed by a sculptural system of three-dimensional roof and façade panels crafted from large lightweight metal elements. These prefabricated components are integrated within the steel structure, forming a continuous exterior surface that responds to light, climate and material traditions of the region. The panels, finished in soft off-white tones, are designed to accommodate dynamic lighting scenarios.

Depending on events, national celebrations or daily rhythms of the city, the façade can be illuminated in varying colors, transforming the stadium into a vibrant urban landmark after dark. The elliptical three-dimensional geometry enhances both visual and acoustic performance, ensuring clear sightlines and an immersive atmosphere for spectators. As a result, the stadium serves not only as a major venue for international sport but also as a distinctive architectural symbol for Senegal’s capital.
