TUI Cruise is conceived as a contemporary reimagining of the elegance that defined the earliest generations of ocean liners, such as the iconic Titanic. While modern cruise ships have grown dramatically in scale to accommodate increasing passenger demands, this expansion has often resulted in bulky forms that prioritize capacity over architectural character. In response, the client sought a vessel that would retain the required capacity yet achieve a more refined and memorable silhouette. The design draws inspiration from the blue whale, the largest living creature in the ocean.

Its fluid, elongated body informed a series of horizontal lines and cascading terraces that define the ship’s exterior. These layered forms soften the overall mass and introduce a rhythm and proportion reminiscent of historic liners, while creating generous outdoor decks for contemporary cruising life.
The result is a distinctive maritime architecture that merges efficiency with sculptural grace, capturing the spirit of classic ocean travel in a forward-looking and visually harmonious design.
